AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Violent clashes broke out late Sunday night between the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) and Palestinian youths in Burqa town, northwest of Nablus.

At least 67 injuries were reported, including 15 rubber bullets injuries and 52 tear-gas inhalation cases, according to the Palestinian Red Crescent.

The clashes came a few hours after a group of Jewish settlers stormed the western entrance to Burqa town aboard three cars and started to hurl stones at homes before local residents intervened and fended them off.

At least four local residents were injured during the settler attack.

Similar clashes broke out in Al-Bireh city after being stormed by IOF soldiers amid heavy firing of tear-gas bombs and rubber bullets. No casualties were proclaimed.

Recent months have seen a steep rise in violence committed by settlers in the West Bank against Palestinians, including against farmers harvesting their olive trees.

The IOF soldiers do not stop the attacks in most cases, and often actively join in.
