“The ill-wishers and those who were hostile to Imam Ali (a.s.) have always tried to tarnish the image of Hazrat Abi Talib (a.s.) and introduce him as a socialist with various quotations. The reason for this was enmity with Imam Ali (a.s.),” he said, referring to the fact that Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.) is oppressed and this is due to the fact that Imam Ali (a.s.) (his son) is oppressed.

In another part of his speech, emphasizing the need to introduce Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.) in a proper way for the society, especially the young generation, he reminded the organizers of the conference to take advantage of media, cultural, artistic, and cinematic attractions in this regard.

Grand Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi considered a great service to the world of Islam and Shiism to honor and explain the character of Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.). Emphasizing that Abu Talib was a true believer, he added, “Your activity in this conference should be based on reliable sources, in such a way as to prevent excuses of enemies.”
