The ceremony, which began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, was attended by the governor of the holy city of Karbala, engineer Nasif Jassim al-Khattabi and the commander of its police, in addition to the presence of a number of security forces leaders and a range of residents of the city and visitors.
The celebration included the recitation of poems about the happy martyrs, with the participation of the poet Mohammed al-Fatimi, Ihab al-Maliki and others.
