As a convert to Islam in a Muslim-minority country and a lover of the Ahlul Bayt, I was surprised to find myself met with such warmth by Muslims from all over the world and it is from this that I began to re-discover the power of the Ahlul Bayt, the most important theme of the conference. It got me thinking: is this huge warmth and love between those who love the Prophet’s family an effort by us mere mortals to show the respect we hold for others who also share our love of the most sublime beautiful human archetypes?

If hijab is an important symbol of identity for Iran’s Islamic government, is it a GOOD, effective symbol? And I mean by “good” does it help Iran to portray itself as the society it really and truly is (one of the best in the Middle East at least) to the West, which seems to have insanely seized on mandatory hijab as a symbol of gross repression, which in fact it probably is not, even though one imagines that many Iranian woman might prefer it not be mandatory?

(AhlulBayt News Agency) - Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei released a message on the Hajj pilgrimage which is underway in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.

Despite Satan’s deliberate disobedience and efforts to lead man astray, the scope of his influence is certainly limited. There are some who ‘rise above the influence’. “…God has treasures there which are neither gold nor silver. Instead, they are men of faith who have really recognized God and they will be the companions of the Mahdi (Guided One) of Muhammad’s Progeny (‘atfs) at the end of time.” [1]

14 months into Sheikh Zakzaky’s plight, and the “Muslim” Diaspora stands more outraged over temporary travel restrictions to the land we call Great Satan than the unjust detention of one of the few persons in this world who deserves the recognition and the distinction of being called a saint.

More than a thousand years have passed since the minor occultation until now. It is possible that the reappearance of the Imam (ajf), because of divine wisdom, might be postponed for another thousand years. Does this mean that the divine laws should not be implemented during this time? Should people do whatever they desire during this time? Should there be anarchy? Did the Prophet of Islam (s) go through the difficulties and hardships of explaining, propagating, and implementing these rulings so that they are implemented just for the 23 years of his own life? Has Allah (swt) limited the implementation of these rulings to a period of two hundred years just to leave everything after the minor occultation?

We will like the world to know that we have many brothers and sisters with the Nigerian Army and they were taken alive, even though they have injured most of them before abducting them.
