Heet District Council in Anbar Province announced on Saturday, that the security forces arrested 40 members of the so-called ISIS while trying to escape with the families who were evacuated from Heet west of Ramadi.

Heet District Council in Anbar Province announced on Saturday, that the security forces arrested 40 members of the so-called ISIS while trying to escape with the families who were evacuated from Heet west of Ramadi.

The Head of Heet council, Mohammed Mohannad al-Hiti, said in press statement that “The security forces managed to arrest 40 ISIS members, during checking the information of the civilians who were evacuated from Heet District,” pointing out that, “The arrested ISIS members were trying to escape from the city with the evacuated families.”

Hiti added, “The detainees included the so-called ISIS Wali of Mahbobiyah area in central Heet,” indicating that, “The arrested ISIS members were transferred to a security detention center for interrogation.”
