The Israeli government is cautiously anticipating a spate of intended cyberattacks to be launched by the hacking group "Anonymous" against its websites on Monday or Tuesday, according to Israel Hayom newspaper.

The newspaper stated that the Israeli anti-defamation league had published warnings against the upcoming cyberattacks, describing them as aimed at defacing websites with anti-Israeli messages, penetrating personal accounts and knocking websites offline.

The league pointed out that a number of Israeli websites on Saturday had come under cyberattacks by a group of hackers it labelled as "anti-Semites."

The hacking group Anonymous had released a video recorded message threatening the Israeli occupation with an "electronic Holocaust" on April 7.

"Greetings World, we are Anonymous. This is a message to the foolish Zionist entities. We are coming back to punish you again for your crimes in the Palestinian territories as we do every year on 7 April," Anonymous said.
