The renowned Christian Lebanese thinker and author George Jordac who profoundly loved the character and ideas of Imam Ali (AS) passed away, he was 83.

Mr. Jordac dedicated four decades of his life on study about a man who himself called one of the greatest figures in the history of humankind: Imam Ali (AS), the result of his thoughts and contemplations about the Imam is several valuable books.

‘Ali, the Voice of Human Justice’, ‘Ali and Human Rights ’, ‘Ali and French Revolution’, ‘Ali and Socrates’, and ‘Ali and Arabian Nationalism’ are among these books.

Jordac was one of the few writers of Lebanon to have emerged globally in contemporary time as great and highly esteemed.

Jordac earlier in an interview said that he hopes the next generation would ponder on the treasures that lie in the rhetoric of great men especially Imam Ali.

George Jordac added: “I have always believed that the status of Ali (AS) is above the historical or political frameworks. In my view, if the world’s intellectuals and authors just study ‘Nahj al-Balagha’ and understand its concepts, masterpieces will be created about him but the Arabic and Islamic world have confined studying on his character, a character which I believe was a great reformist leader.”
