(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - A Chinese report revealed on Sunday, that the kidnapping process of soldiers in Fallujah, west of Baghdad, is a part of a campaign launched by an armed campaign launched by al-Qaeda under the name "Battle of revenge."
According to a report prepared by “Shinhwa Chinese news agency ", an Iraqi source saying that " the monitoring intelligence cells in Baquba city, the capital of Diyala province revealed that Al-Qaeda has launched an armed campaign under a new name called (Battle of revenge) that targets employees of the Iraqi army in the general areas of the country.”
Al-Qaeda has sent cells to activate targeting the Iraqi army soldiers "wherever found," saying that “it is likely for the kidnapping of the soldiers and attacks that occurred in some of Iraq's western areas in Anbar province to be a part of the Battle of revenge."
The source, that the agency did not publish his name said that al-Qaeda monitored a financial reward of up to $ 1,000 for each of its elements to kill or captivate an Iraqi soldier, noting that the reward increases if the goal was a senior officer.
It is worth mentioning that unidentified gunmen in civilian cars had kidnapped on Thursday, four Iraqi army soldiers in Nuaimiya area (3 km) south of Fallujah, west of Baghdad and took them to an unknown destination.
As two soldiers were wounded by a sniper fire in the industrial district south-east of Fallujah while they were retreating along with others from the city.
This comes after six demonstrators were killed and 60 others were wounded in clashes with Iraqi army forces when the latter tried to prevent the demonstrators from going to Ahrar square on the highway at the entrance to Fallujah, the second-largest city in Anbar province.
