(AhlulBayt News Agency) - A peaceful protest was held by students of Academic Forum of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, Bauchi. The Forum issued a statement as follows:

We are deeply concerned about the Safety of our Leader Shaikh Zakzaky When we heard about the attempt to forcibly take Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky to an undisclosed detention facility by the DSS, we were deeply worried most especially at this time when Nigerian authorities have lost the trust of people.

We can recall that Federal High Court has ordered for the unconditional release of Sheikh Zakzaky and his wife. Complying with this judgement is mandatory.

The Directorate of State Security and President Muhammadu Buhari have no other legitimate choice than to obey and respect the order issued by the Federal High Court.

We vehemently reject any attempt to harm Sheikh Zakzaky and his wife by the DSS and other Security Operatives.

We condemned in the strongest term any act that amounts to violation of the rights of Sheikh Zakzaky, and non compliance with the court order. These are indeed uncontsitutional and unacceptable.

The Federal Government will be held responsible for any foul play with the life of Sheikh Zakzaky and his wife in the custody of the DSS.
