(AhlulBayt News Agency) - Light summer rain fell on Saudi Arabia’s holy city of Mecca, reaching the holy Kaaba, on Monday.
Pictures published by the Saudi Press Agency showed pilgrims welcoming the rainfall ahead of Hajj, which begins this week, Alarabiya reported.
Raining in hot days of Mecca made pilgrims happy who are present to perform Hajj actions.
Some of pilgrims were observing rainfall and a group were crying and raising their hands toward the sky.
The General Authority for Meteorology and Environmental Protection predicted thunderstorms on the southern highlands, the highlands of Mecca and Madinah, extending to Tabuk, as well as surface winds in the Riyadh and Qassim.
