Saudi prince Talal bin Abdul Aziz posted on his Twitter account: “the coalition between Mohammed bin Zayed and Bin Salman led the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council to take a unilateral decision about its members. The UAE plays the major role at the Cooperation Council.”
Bin Nayef protested the king to prevent the entrance of the Qatari to Masjid al-Haram and the house of God, and the insulting behavior toward Qajari Hajis. He told King Salman that it is not necessary to put Qatar under political pressure by this project.
I believe that bin Nayef’s request expedited his removal. After that, he received a message that he was ousted as crown prince. At first, he opposed the demand and then accepted after extensive consultations. It seems that the main reason for bin Nayef’s removal as crown prince was about his opposition to Mohammed bin Salman’s plot against PGCC members.
Many comments were made after the tweets of Prince Talal bin Abdul Aziz on his Twitter page. It got so tense that these tweets were removed after several hours.
