Secretary General of Iraq’s al-Nujaba Islamic Resistance movement underlined the movement’s readiness to defend the holy city of Quds (Jerusalem).

Speaking at a meeting with Palestinian Ambassador to Iraq Ahmad Aql, Sheikh Akram al-Kaabi stressed the necessity of uniting Muslims against global arrogance, implying the US and Israel.
The two sides emphasized the necessity of unifying the Muslims of the world against Zionism and global arrogance while examining the current situation in the region.
Al-Nujaba's secretary-general condemned the decision of the US president regarding Quds, and explicitly stated, "We are fully prepared to defend the holy Quds."
"The transfer of arrogant countries' embassies to Quds is a provoking act in recognition of the Zionist entity," Sheikh Akram al-Kaabi added.
At the end of the meeting, the Palestinian ambassador praised Al-Nujaba's support for his country and the readiness of the resistance group to defend the Islamic lands.
On December 6, US President Donald Trump announced his decision to recognize Quds as Israel’s so-called capital and relocate the US embassy from Tel Aviv to the holy city.
The dramatic shift in Washington’s policy vis-à-vis the city triggered demonstrations in the occupied Palestinian territories, Iran, Turkey, Egypt, Jordan, Tunisia, Algeria, Iraq, Morocco and other Muslim countries.
