Javad Tork Abadi hosted the head and members of social and charity organizations and also the head and members of Imam Mahdi Cultural and Educational Center.
The figures attending the meeting welcomed the new Iranian ambassador to Syria and wished him success in his new position and called for expansion of ties between Iran and Syria.
Tork Abadi, succesding Mohammad Reza Raouf Sheybani, arrived in Syria’s capital late on April 25.
He submitted a copy his credentials to Syria’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Walid al-Moalem on April 26, and his credentials to President Bashar al-Assad on May 2.
