At least 23 Yemeni civilians killed in Saudi airstrike

(AhlulBayt News Agency) - At least 23 civilians have lost their lives when Saudi fighter jets carried out an airstrike in Yemen’s southwestern province of Ta'izz as the Riyadh regime continues with its atrocious aerial bombardment campaign against its impoverished southern neighbor.

Local sources told Arabic-language al-Masirah television network that the aerial attack had targeted a vehicle as it was travelling along a road in the province's Mawza' district on Wednesday afternoon.

The sources added that the victims were returning from al-Barh market in the neighboring Maqbanah district.

There were reportedly several women and children among those killed in the airstrike.

Meanwhile, a cameraman for al-Masirah television network sustained injuries when a Saudi unmanned aerial vehicle carried out an attack against the channel's staff in the Harad district of the northwestern province of Hajjah, located approximately 130 kilometers (80 miles) northwest of the capital Sana’a.

Al-Masirah correspondent Walid al-Muthar said the Saudi drone targeted the crew as they were moving to cover relief activities in Harad.

Muthar identified the injured cameraman as Ismail al-Balahi.
