Iran monitoring ISIS around country's borders: IRGC spokesman

Iran is well aware of the geographical presence of the terrorist group of ISIS and knows about its strategies, Brigadier General Ramezan Sharif said.

(AhlulBayt News Agency) - Iran will undoubtedly prevent re-formation of ISIS around the country's borders, spokesman for the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) announced here on Saturday.

Iran is well aware of the geographical presence of the terrorist group of ISIS and knows about its strategies, Brigadier General Ramezan Sharif said.

Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei in his Fiqh class last January said 'The same hands that created ISIS and turned it into a tool of oppression and crime against the people of Syria and Iraq are now, after ISIS' defeat, trying to move ISIS to Afghanistan; recent massacres are actually the onset of the plan.'

Iran has carefully watched and will monitor ISIS moves, Sharif added.

The today IRGC, due to its six-year advisory presence in Syria and Iraq, could defeat ISIS and the creators of this terrorist group, he said.

Commander of Quds Force of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Major General Qasem Soleimani in a letter to Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei on November 21, 2017, announced the termination of the corrupt tree of ISIS and congratulated the glorious victory to the Islamic World.
