(AhlulBayt News Agency) - Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qasemi on Sunday condemned terrorist attacks in Marseille, France, and Edmonton, Canada, which killed several people and wounded many others.
Qasemi also expressed solidarity with the families of the victims, saying, while unfortunately, certain countries are engaged in “trading in terrorism” and “giving wrong addresses”, the evil face of violence, terror and atrocity was appeared by committing another crime targeting innocent and defenseless people.
“It is essential for the human community and all countries to rise up in a collective move and wage an effective war against the hateful phenomenon [of terrorism] in a bid to uproot the intellectual ideologies and cut financial support for terrorism as one the gravest afflictions facing humanity,” stressed the spokesman.
Two women were stabbed to death in the southern French port city of Marseille on Sunday and the attacker was later shot dead by French forces.
Meanwhile, in another development, a terrorist driver hit a police officer in the in the Canadian western city of Edmonton and then stabbed the officer several times before fleeing the scene.
