Tatarstani mosques began traditional summer activities for children and adolescents in the teaching of religion and religious education
(AhlulBayt News Agency) - Tatarstani mosques began traditional summer activities for children and adolescents in the teaching of religion and religious education, the press service of Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Republic reported.
"It is very important for us to teach our children the basics of Islam and healthy way of life during vacation time. Not all can afford and have suitable time for such religious classes away from home. Therefore, if they have the opportunity, I will say that the doors of our mosques and madrassas are open to all comers," Kamil Samigullin, Mufti of Tatarstan said.
According to the Mufti, every day from early morning to evening experienced teachers and educators will teach children the basics of religion not only in Kazan, but also in other cities where muhtasibat (local religious organizations) operate.
"Undoubtedly, we will not limit our classes to lessons on the Islamic theme only. Active outdoor games, quizzes and contests, hiking in nature, a wide cultural and educational program, is an incomplete list of what we can offer. All those enrolled are offered a quality three-time food,"- Samigullin explained.
He also added that children's recreation is addressed to boys and girls aged 6-15 years.
