(AhlulBayt News Agency) - A member of Pakistan’s Senate Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs says the Islamic Revolution is flourishing despite all conspiracies against Iran because the country's leaders and people are committed towards the principles of the revolution.
Syed Tahir Hussain Mashhadi congratulated people and the government of Iran on the 39th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution.
“Islamic Revolution of Iran is one of the greatest revolutions that the history of mankind has ever seen,” said the lawmaker.
He noted that no other revolution has had the impact that the Islamic Revolution had and said that in the Islamic World, it was greatest of all revolutions and brought hope to the world of Islam.
Also expressing his views, he said the Islamic Revolution has made Muslims realize their identity in accordance with the principles of Islam. “The revolution had the basis in true Islam.'
The parliamentarian said that it is a fact that today Iran is the most well respected and admired country in the world despite of having all the sanctions and conspiracies against it.
The US and some western states have been unfairly challenging Iran all the time because of the fear of unity and strength of Islam, he added. “It is greatness of the Islamic Revolution that it is lasting for such a long time.'
'We in Pakistan can only admire and respect the Islamic Revolution and hope that it flourishes more,' Mashhadi said.
The senator said that brotherly relationship between Iran and Pakistan is growing with each passing day. “We are not only neighbors but we share same culture and religion.”
Iran, he said, was the first country that recognized the existence of Pakistan and has always helped its neighbor in difficult times. 'Parliament and people of Pakistan want better relationship with Iran.'
