Muslim students to observe Itikaf in Pakistan’s Quetta

(AhlulBayt News Agency) - The spiritual ritual of Itikaf (religious retreat) will be held in Quetta, Pakistan, on the occasion of the lunar Hijri month of Rajab.

University and school students will take part in the program, to be hosted by Khata-al-Anbia Mosque. 

Registration for taking part in the ritual began on Saturday and will continue until Friday.

The mosque will host the Itikaf ritual from Saturday, April 8, to Monday, April 10.

Itikaf, in the Islamic faith, is a particularly commended pious practice consisting of a period of retreat in a mosque, for a certain number of days in accordance with the believer's own wish.

Those taking part in the spiritual ritual sit in mosques and fast and pray the almighty God during the three days of Itikaf.
