Political prisoners at Bahrain’s Jaw detention center are reportedly being subjected to a fresh wave of punitive measures.

(AhlulBayt News Agency) - Political prisoners at Bahrain’s Jaw detention center are reportedly being subjected to a fresh wave of punitive measures.

According to the Bahrain Center for Human Rights (BCHR), 80 political prisoners are being denied the right to contact their loved ones.

The rights group also conveyed the concerns of the families of the detainees, who are especially worried about inmates being confined to their cells and not being permitted access to the prison yard.

Allegations of abuse are frequently circulated about Jaw Prison. These include the use of torture and depriving prisoners of drinking water.
