(AhlulBayt News Agency) - With first light came the day’s first arrests. The early hours of Tuesday morning were accompanied by fresh raids across Bahrain as security forces smashed down doors and dragged young men from their homes.
Some were younger than others. Mahdi Ahmed Meftah, Mahmoud Zoheir, and Ali Mohammad Jaafar al Motghawi became the latest names to be added to a growing list of Bahraini minors detained in recent days.
On Tuesday, raids were reported in the villages of Diraz, Karzakan as well as the country’s capital Manama.
The International Center for Supporting Rights and Freedoms (ICSRF) called on the Bahraini monarch to ‘pardon’ the boys and insure their immediate release.
Minors in Bahrain are routinely taken into custody without cause or an arrest warrant.
