BCHR demands Manama regime to end restrictions being imposed on Nabeel Rajab

The Bahrain Center for Human Rights (BCHR) is calling on Manama to lift all restrictions being imposed on jailed Bahraini activist and BCHR President Nabeel Rajab.

(AhlulBayt News Agency) - The Bahrain Center for Human Rights (BCHR) is calling on Manama to lift all restrictions being imposed on jailed Bahraini activist and BCHR President Nabeel Rajab.

The rights group expressed its concerns on Wednesday over recent reports of prison authorities confiscating Rajab’s belongings in retaliation to the City Council of Paris awarding him with the Honorary Citizenship of France.

Rajab is also being subjected to other forms of harassment as he continues to be denied access to proper treatment for back problems.

According to the BCHR, such measures are intentional and come in response to Rajab’s continuing efforts to defend human rights.

Additionally, the rights organization urged Manama to grant the activist his right to treatment while reiterating calls for his immediate release.
