The family of Bahraini detainee Muntadhar Hassan Ahmad is voicing concern over his wellbeing and demanding that authorities allow him contact with the outside world.

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The family of Bahraini detainee Muntadhar Hassan Ahmad is voicing concern over his wellbeing and demanding that authorities allow him contact with the outside world.

Ahmad, who is serving a 3-year prison sentence in Bahrain’s Dry Dock Detention Center, has not contacted his loved ones for an entire week.

Bahraini prisoners are routinely denied contact with relatives.

In most cases the measures are temporary and used as a form of punishment against detainees.
