(AhlulBayt News Agency) - Bahrain’s oldest female prisoner Fawzia Mashallah reportedly suffered a heart attack on Sunday.

According to Bahraini activist Ebtisam al-Sayegh, 55-year-old Mashallah, who was transferred to the Al Qalaa Clinic for treatment, is on the ‘brink of death’.

This is the second time that Mashallah is purported to have suffered a heart attack since the start of the year. In January, she was denied proper medical treatment after a similar incident.

Mashallah was arrested on December 15 of last year and accused of harboring a fugitive. She vehemently denies the allegations.
