Exiled Bahraini rights campaigner Sayed Ahmed Alwadaei reported that Ali “suddenly started sweating and feeling a sharp pain in his stomach”.

“He lost his balance due to dizziness and started vomiting,” Alwadaei wrote in a Twitter post.

He later added that Ali was not transferred to hospital and eventually “felt better”.
