Three people were detained by militias operating under the umbrella of Manama’s security apparatus on Thursday.

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Three people were detained by militias operating under the umbrella of Manama’s security apparatus on Thursday.

Habib Mahdi and brothers, Mohammad and Hussein Fouad, were detained by security forces in the town of al-Daih without any legal justification.

Similar raids were also reported in the villages of Juffair, Salmabad and Barbar. The Thursday arrests raise the number of arbitrarily detained Bahraini youths to 12 since the start of the week.

Many of those detained since the start of Bahrain’s popular uprising have been subjected to torture and other forms of ill-treatment at the hands of the kingdom’s security services.
