(AhlulBayt News Agency) - A delegation from Syriac Catholics (the Diocese of Mosul) had visited the shrine of Imam Ali bin Abi Talib (as) and met with the Secretary General of the holy shrine, Sayyed Nizar Hashim Habel al-Muteen.
"We are honored to visit the shrine of Imam Ali bin Abi Talib (as) and he means a lot to us. He is the symbol of truth and human justice and we love the owners of justice and right," said the dean of the priests of Qarqoush of the Syriac Catholics, the Bishop of Sharbel Esso.
He added, "Imam Ali bin Abi Talib (as) was martyred for the sake of truth as Jesus Christ was martyred for the truth, they are the students of truth and heavenly justice."
He added, "Although terrorism has tried to tear apart the Iraqi fabric and break up cohesion among its people, but it has failed. On the contrary, Iraqis have increased strength and cohesion among themselves."
In the end he said: "The visit will not be the last one; especially that Imam Ali (as) is a symbol of love and peace. "
