Pres. Rouhani: Leader statement removed enemies' claims about Islamic Revolution

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Iran's President sent a letter to the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, stating that his strategic statement on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution removed the claims of enemies about the Islamic Revolution.

The full text of Dr Hassan Rouhani's letter is as follows:

Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution,

Ayatollah Khamenei,

Hello,

I am grateful to the Almighty that at the beginning of the fifth decade of the Islamic Revolution, Your Excellency’s new strategic statement blew a new spirit to the great nation of Iran, created a magnificent exhilaration among the younger generation and outlined the general road map for the government and nation in the decade ahead.

This historic statement eliminated the claims of enemies about the Islamic Revolution, clarified the link between being revolutionary and Islamic moderation, and provided a careful analysis of the origins, achievements, damages, challenges and perspectives of the Islamic Revolution, and the exact delineation between flexibility and correctability with passivity and backwardness, considering the secret of dynamism of the Islamic Revolution as the combination of idealism and realism; and considering strong defence of peace seeking and oppression fighting, learning from the history while having an eye to the future and progression, strengthening the authority of the Islamic Republic, emphasising optimism and hope for the future as the key to all locks and countering disappointment and false fears as the requirements of the strategic policies of the Islamic Republic in the decade ahead.

The twelfth government is proud that it celebrated the 40th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution alongside the great nation of Iran and began the fifth decade with a solid and fresh pace, with gratitude to the Supreme Leader and with the grace of divine mercy, the companionship of the great nation of Iran, coordination among all branches, and utilising the human capacities of the country, especially the elites, the young, women, ethnic groups and civilian organisations, considers itself duty-bound to implement the strategic recommendations of Your Exellency. Therefore, I require all supreme councils and the cabinet to prioritise Your Excellency’s policies and programmes for the realisation of your guidelines.
