AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Hundreds of Yemeni citizens in Ad-Durayhimi district in the port city of Hodeidah are struggling for their lives due to the imposed siege by the US-Saudi aggression and its mercenaries, Ministry of Public Health and Population warned on Wednesday.
“The health situation in Ad-Durayhimi has become catastrophic because of the land, sea and air blockade for a year,” the ministry said in a statement. “We hold the coalition countries fully responsible for every death or any patient get complications.”
The statement added that the blockade prevents anything to enter or exit the district, despite the fact that there are critical cases at risk of death at any moment, such as the patient who suffers from swelling of the heart, kidneys and the patient suffering from blood fractures and many other cases.
"The United Nations also has to hold responsibile for this tragic situation. Although it can save patients by bringing medicines or taking patients out the district for treatment in Hodeidah, Ibb or the capital Sana'a, it merely laments the situation," the ministry said.
At the end of its statement, the ministry called on the United Nations and international organizations to intervene urgently to save inhabitants of Ad-Durayhimi district.
