Astan Quds Razavi gifts 800 young couples with dowries

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Astan Quds Razavi has gifted 800 young couples with dowries in line with a plan to eradicate poverty and address deprivation.

Speaking at the ceremony, Hoj. Seyyed Ebrahim Raeisi the general custodian of Astan Quds Razavi said the Islamic government of Iran has plans to create a civilization enriched with such values and qualities as independence, freedom, religious democracy, enjoying Divine blessings, and also formation of a Quranic community that is devoid of oppression, depravity and atheism.

Raeisi, who is also a member of the Assembly of Experts, went on to say: “In a civilization built based on the Islamic teachings, ethical dignity, social equity, and Divine ordinance have the final say. In the second phase, the aspects of which were outlined by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, building such a civilization and society is achievable.”

Pointing to the Razavi Khademyaran Plan (specialists rendering services to the deprived people), the general custodian of Astan Quds Razavi noted that in the all-out movement for rendering services to the disadvantaged walks of life, there is no distinction between those offering services and those receiving them. “No one feels to be needful of anyone else. The servant and the served both work in the cause of Imam Reza (AS) and everyone is in need of a favor by the Almighty Allah only.”

Speaking next, Hamed Sadeqi, the deputy in charge of Astan Quds Razavi plans for eradication of poverty and deprivation, said the plan focuses on the youths in the deprived regions, “because they are the flagbearers of progress and development in their regions.”

“The plan to eradicate deprivation is a public-centered approach that is being implemented in cooperation with Revolutionary organizations.”

According to Sadeqi, the sets of dowries including gas cookers, freezer refrigerators, carpets, heaters, vacuum cleaners, electric fans, chinaware, cooking pots, and cutlery were supplied and gifted by Astan Quds Razavi, the body in charge of Imam Reza (AS) holy shrine, in cooperation with Islamic Revolution Guards Corps, Imam Khomeini Relief Foundation, Welfare Organization and private benefactors.
